She offers a wide variety of workshops aimed at adults: from beginners to proficient. Kim’s passion for teaching, and sharing her knowledge knows no bounds. She loves to champion others to be their best, creative self through discovery and play.
Kim’s workshops cover all sorts of techniques, including painting, drawing, printing and mixed media.

(1) LINED LANDSCAPES

Absolutely no art experience necessary. Calling all adults to come and play!
In this 3-hour workshop you will learn to draw up very simple, graphic, but extremely eye-catching landscapes with just lines, or lines, patterns and doodles in black and white. You’ll be guided all the way, with print outs and demos for inspiration. If we have time, you may be introduced to some gold foiling techniques as well.
NOTE: Each and everyone participating will have their own, very unique set of 4.

In this 3-hour workshop you will enjoy playing with colour and pattern to create your very own, naive farm landscape. You will be guided the whole way, and for some who like a bit of collage, you are welcome to a bit too. This workshop will feel like painting in doodles. It’s a fun way to unwind, get ‘in the zone’ and leave all your troubles behind.

In this 4-hour workshop you will be designing and cutting your very own stencils, and layering up colour to create a piece of very interesting abstract art. You will be guided the whole way. It’s very tactile and a fun way to spend a morning/afternoon.

(5) INTRO TO LINOCUT PRINTING (A): Famous Paintings
SAT 9 MAY / tbc | 9.00am – 3pm | R850pp
Absolutely no art experience necessary.
In this 6-hour workshop you will be using very famous paintings for inspiration! You will learn the skills to draw up your design, transfer it to the lino, and carve it using specialised tools, then finally, printing your piece. You will do multiple prints, tweeking your lino to get the best possible result.
Once you have achieved your desired look, you will then print your very own small run.

(12) PIMP-A-PAINTING
Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Recover.

This was one of my favourite workshops in the past!
Grab one of your old, incomplete, or discarded ACRYLIC paintings and your paints, and come and have some fun!
Size: A2 size, or smaller. There’s not enough room with a full class to go bigger.
In this 4-hour workshop – Let’s think outside the box and explore all kinds of approaches & techniques to transform your old, abandoned relic into something more exciting. It’s a forgotten piece of ‘trash’ so there’s no limitations to how far we can push it.
If you want to break away from the same-oh, same-oh approach to your paintings, and want to try thinking and playing in a completely different way – then this creative workshop is especially for you.
