The Mock-a-Master (MaM) beginners’ painting project is aimed at newbies, but absolutely anyone can join in! It’s a very exciting, creative initiative aimed at teaching students all kinds of ACRYLIC painting styles, skills and techniques.

What is the MaM Project?

The Mam Project mimics the styles and techniques of famous painters throughout history, from Impressionism to Contemporary. Each famous artist chosen teaches the students a variety of skills and techniques.

How does the MaM Project work?

Each student chooses their own MaM theme. The subject matter should have an interesting shape. For instance, some themes completed in the past include: lighthouses, chameleons, farm gates, wine, dachshunds, fish, Table Mountain, etc. At end of the project each student should have a complete set of 9, or 10 lighthouses all painted in variety of different ways.
