She offers a wide variety of creative workshops aimed at adults: from beginners to proficient. Kim’s passion for teaching, and sharing her knowledge knows no bounds. She loves to champion others to be their best, creative self through discovery and play.
Kim’s workshops cover all sorts of techniques, including painting, drawing, printing and mixed media.

(5) LINOCUT PRINTING
SAT 26 JULY | 9.00am – 3.00pm | R850pp
In this 6-hour workshop you will be introduced to a very exciting printing technique. You will learn how to draw up a design and transfer it to the lino before starting the carving process. Multiple prints will be made as you tweak your design. Once you have your desired, final look, you will aim to create a limited edition of 3 prints.

In this 3-hour workshop you will create your own self portrait in a Picasso-like manner. You’ll learn to embrace your inner child and see yourself from every angle while having fun, creating your very own masterpiece.

(7) INTRO INTO ABSTRACT ART (2)

This is my second Abstract Art workshop which will be completely different to the first one held earlier this year which was a great success.
In this 3-hour workshop you will have fun exploring all kinds of mark-making techniques in acrylic paint and other mediums, creating your very own, original piece of art. Mark-making skills will include regular painting with brushes & credit card, printing, scratching, dotting, sponging, splattering, dripping, etc.

In this 6-hour workshop, spread over 2 x 3hr Saturdays, you will be introduced to working with mixed media – creating a bright and fun interpretation of our West Coast wild flowers.

This is a 3-hour workshop, designed especially for complete beginners who can only draw stick figures, or for those who want to brush up on their drawing skills. You will learn to really observe, and how to convey what you see to paper. You will be introduced to various observational exercises and drawing techniques which will help you capture form, scale and shadow.

Grab one of your old, incomplete, or discarded ACRYLIC paintings and your paints, and come and have some fun!
Size: A2 size, or smaller. There is not enough room with a full class to go bigger.
In this 4-hour workshop – Let’s think outside the box and explore all kinds of approaches & techniques to transform your old, abandoned relic into something more exciting. It’s a forgotten piece of ‘trash’ so there’s no limitations to how far we can push it.
If you want to break away from the same-oh, same-oh approach to your paintings, and want to try thinking and playing in a completely different way – then this creative workshop is especially for you.
